Backyard Ice Rink Problems Backyard Ice Rink Problems?

Backyard ice rink problems? - backyard ice rink problems

We have a skating rink to be built on the farm this year. Last year we did not have this problem ... If we return to the surface, creates the new layer of air bubbles. if every time when they are in the brake and you will fail. Sometimes crystallize to the next level and create the same problem that no air bubbles. Has anyone any idea why this happens and how to prevent it?

The bubbles are formed when cold water is frozen too quickly to keep the air or when a leak in the line, the air suspension allowed where flooding of the runway. You may have put the ice very quickly.

Try to burst the bubbles and fill up with snow, then with hot water on the floor. Let it freeze again flooding the ice with thin layers of water from the hose.

If you re-emerge in the dark and cold, which speeds up the gel. Try the ice when the sun high and hot flooding on the track. Take longer to "dry" but there will be no air pockets.

If you go with a hose, do not let water splash protection on the slopes, lay the hose on the ice and let the river in this way. Water can also do something with it
